We stayed in most of this week, just to make sure Olivia was well and also to try and avoid her catching anything else with her compromised immune system.
Hugging the bear sent to her by Jon's new company:
Thankfully, the weather was really nice on Wednesday so we were able to play outside (without a coat!). Olivia rode her "bike" around the neighborhood and we blew bubbles.
Ready to go outside:
This is what she does when I ask her to "say cheese" or "smile". (I quit asking!)
Playing on the porch:
When we got back, Olivia had a package from Gram waiting for her. She LOVES opening presents, and these were no different! Thanks Gram!!!
Oooohhhh, a new bracelet:
Excited over new pajamas:
Loving her new sunglasses:
Admiring her new bracelets:
Loving on Phoebs:
Jon was out of town that night, so I put a blanket on the floor and Olivia and I had a "picnic". She thought that was so funny!
By the end of the week, we were both getting desperate to get out of the house and be around other people. So, we went to story time at our local library on Thursday. The library has a little play area, where she climbed on a cow and played with puzzles. Story time consisted of a couple of stories, as well as a few songs to dance to. She really enjoyed all of it!
On Friday, we attended a play group at Chuck E Cheese. It was a different group from the one we previously went to. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming, and Olivia had lots of fun on her first visit to Chuck E Cheese! Unfortunately, I didn't take a camera, so I only have a couple of cell phone pictures.
Before we left:
Playing at Chuck E Cheese:
On Saturday, Jon, Olivia and I went downtown to the West Side Market and bought some meat, vegetables and bread to make a few meals. We've been excited to do this since we first came here, but this is the first chance we've had. We were also excited to try out the new Learning Tower we got for Olivia. I found it on Craigslist in Michigan and Jon was driving up there for work, so he picked it up on his way. It's a wooden "tower" that she stands in to help with cooking, etc. She has had so much fun cooking with daddy this weekend!
Making scrambled eggs:
Oops... I think I see a piece of the shell:
Better add some pepper:
Cooking is hard work. I need a snack:
Daddy, I think it's time to put the eggs into the pan:
The rest of the weekend consisted of unpacking (No, we're not done yet!) and me getting a (much needed) massage. My friends from back home, Vanessa and Angie, gave me a spa gift certificate when Olivia was in the hospital, so I used it today. Thank you so much Angie and Vanessa!!!
Hope you all enjoyed your weekends. Have a great week!

She doesn't look like she's ever been sick!!! Daddy will make her into a chef by the time she's five. So good to see things back to normal for ya'll again. Such a pretty little girl. Hope I get to see you all soon.
