Tea Party!

One of Olivia's favorite things to do is have a tea party.  Her baby, who she has named Rosie, and I are the frequent attendees.

Occasionally, she will serve us soup with the tea.

And, every once in a while, Daddy is lucky enough to participate.
I love these days! :)

ABC, 123

I took this video of Olivia singing her ABCs and counting a couple of weeks ago, but I haven't been able to get it to upload until now.

Beach!

Olivia has been talking about wanting to go to the beach for quite some time. Well, we went to the library this morning and decided to stop at the beach on the way home. I promised her we would bring swimsuits and beach toys next time!

It's beginning to feel like home

We have been staying busy this week. Cleveland is starting to feel more like home, especially since we are meeting people and making new friends. Now, Olivia talks about her "new friends" (as she likes to call them) almost as much as her Chicago friends.

On Tuesday, we visited a preschool, which we decided to enroll Olivia in. It's only 2 days a week for 1 1/2 hours each day. Jon and I decided it would be good for her to be away from me a bit, since she is quite attached to me. I really liked the structure and teachers and Olivia seemed to enjoy herself. She calls it "going to pretty school!" Haha! She will start there in June.

We met some new friends at the nature center on Wednesday for a short nature walk. One of the moms brought nature bingo sheets, so the kids had fun trying to find ants, frogs, ducks, etc. Olivia had a BLAST and took a 3 hour nap afterwards!

We met our other new friends at a nearby outdoor mall on Thursday for some play time and lunch. Olivia has been talking about Zavier since we played at his house last week! It's nice to see her adjusting here and starting to make new "friends".

Hope you all had a great week as well!

Rainy Day Fun

Monday was a rainy day here, so I decided to get out the finger paints for the first time. I'll let the pictures tell the story...
As you can see, she had lots of fun! And, needless to say, we headed straight to the bathtub afterwards!

Earth Day 2012

We spent Earth Day at Murray Hill farm. It's a small, local farm about 30 minutes from where we live. We recently became a member of their CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program. Basically, that means that we buy all of our produce from this farm, which guarantees us fresh produce, while we support a local farmer at the same time.

So, when given the opportunity to visit the farm where our produce is coming from, we jumped at the chance. We knew Olivia would enjoy seeing the animals, and we were right!! I forgot the camera, so I only have a few phone pictures. I wish you all could have heard her squeal with excitement when she got out of the car and saw the chickens!! While we were there, she got to hold a baby chick and watch the sheep "get their hair cut"!

Daddy's Helper

I'm a little behind on updates because 1)The blog format has changed and I'm having some issues with it, and 2)I've been taking pictures with my phone and I couldn't get them to rotate the right way on the computer. I finally figured the pictures out, so hopefully I can at least get some posts up.

A couple of weeks ago, Jon was putting together the outdoor table that his mom bought for us and Olivia wanted to help:

All of that hard work earned her a little playtime:
And, I keep forgetting to mention that Olivia LOVES taking her babies for a walk these days:
She's growing up quicker than I care to admit...
